This is the day almost everyone asks for first, and it deserves the reputation. The bear sanctuary opens early and only takes booked groups, so we start there while the Bran road is still quiet. Bran Castle comes next, before the coaches from Bucharest arrive, and Râșnov Fortress closes the day with the whole Bran corridor laid out below you.
- Hotel pickup anywhere in Brașov, at the hour that suits you
- Bran Castle before the midday coaches
- Rescued brown bears in forest enclosures at Zărnești

Questions guests ask
- How long does the Bran Castle day trip take?
- Around eight hours door to door, including roughly two hours at Bran, two at the bear sanctuary and an hour at Râșnov. We can shorten it to a half day with Bran and Râșnov only.
- Is Bran Castle really Dracula's castle?
- No. Vlad Țepeș never held Bran as a residence, and Bram Stoker never saw it. The castle earned the association through its silhouette. What you actually walk through is a royal residence furnished by Queen Marie in the 1920s, which is more interesting than the legend.
- Are tickets included in the price?
- No — the price covers the private car, the driver and the whole day's driving. Entrance tickets are paid at each gate, which keeps the quote honest whether you go inside or not.
- Can we visit the bear sanctuary the same day?
- Yes, and it is the reason we start early. The sanctuary runs guided visits by reservation only, mostly in the morning, so it sets the shape of the whole day.
